The SteelSmart® System is the only software program available to design 'cee' section truss members, connectors, and fasteners.
Users may select from 8 standard truss shapes, or create a custom truss design. The standard truss shapes are the following:
- Box truss
- Gable truss
- Half gable truss
- Scissor truss
- Half scissor truss
- Step-up truss
- Half step-up truss
- Gambrel truss
Each results in the selection of the member, connector, and fastener for the assembly.
Another unique feature enables the user to enter the bracing requirements for the truss analysis.
The Light Steel Framing Manual, 2nd Edition includes the SteelSmart® System 6 program in the Software section.
