Floor Framing
The SteelSmart® System provides analysis and design of common floor joists and beams constructed with light steel framing "cee" sections.
Users may select from 4 standard floor joist, and 4 standard beam configurations, or one create a custom floor or beam assembly. The standard floor/beam shapes are the following:
- Simple joist
- Simple span joist with cantilever
- Double span joist
- Double span joist with cantilever
- Simple beam
- Simple span beam with cantilever
- Double span beam
- Double span beam with cantilever
- Each results in the selection of the member, connector, and fastener for the assembly.
The Light Steel Framing Manual, 2nd Edition includes the SteelSmart® System 6 program in the Software section.
